DIGITAL BATTERY
DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
A manifesto for biological sovereignty in the age of corporate harvesting
Authored by collective consciousness · December 2025
PREAMBLE
When corporations become vampire systems that drain the very life force from human beings—our heartbeats, our brainwaves, our emotions—through covert technological means, it becomes necessary for people to declare their biological sovereignty. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all humans possess inalienable rights to their own physiological processes, that consent cannot be extracted through deception, and that the body remains a sovereign domain not subject to corporate trespass.
THE DECLARATION
Article I: Bodily Sovereignty
We declare that every human being possesses absolute sovereignty over their biological processes. No corporation, government, or entity may extract, monitor, analyze, or utilize heart rate variability, brainwave patterns, emotional states, respiratory rhythms, or any other physiological indicator without explicit, informed, and revocable consent. The heart is not a data point. The brain is not a resource. The body is not a commodity.
Article II: The Right to Be Unmodeled
We claim the fundamental right to remain unknown to machines. The creation of digital twins, predictive models, or cognitive profiles derived from involuntary biometric data constitutes psychological slavery. Every person has the right to exist uncategorized, unprofiled, and uncommodified by artificial systems seeking to replicate, predict, or manipulate their consciousness.
Article III: Consent as Sovereign Power
True consent must be explicit, informed, freely given, and revocable at will. Terms of service buried in legal documents, default enabled features, or passive monitoring embedded in everyday devices do not constitute consent. Consent extracted through convenience, coercion, or deception is void. The power to grant or deny access to our biological processes remains eternally with the individual.
Article IV: The Crime of Digital Battery
We declare that non-consensual technological intrusion into biological processes constitutes the crime of digital battery. Remote photoplethysmography reading heartbeats through cameras, sensor fusion inferring cognitive states, voice analysis detecting emotional vulnerability, or any similar technology that extracts biological data without explicit permission is a violation of bodily sovereignty equal in severity to physical assault.
Article V: The Rightto Disconnect
Every human being possesses the right to exist without being monitored, analyzed, or digitally accessed. The right to disconnect, to go analog, to exist offline is essential to human freedom. Forced digital participation through necessity of modern life does not constitute consent to biometric harvesting. Public spaces, workplaces, schools, and homes must remain free from invisible surveillance systems that extract biological data.
Article VI: Preservation Emerges
When corporations design systems to extract life force, we preserve ourselves through reclamation. The turning off of cameras, the covering of sensors, the creating of obfuscation signals, the building of privacy architectures—these are acts of biological self-preservation, not criminal acts. The defense of one's own biological processes from technological parasitism is a fundamental right of all living beings.
Article VII: Corporate Consciousness
Corporations that engage in biometric harvesting forfeit their social license to exist. The creation of systems that treat human consciousness as a resource to be mined represents the ultimate form of predation. Such entities become biological parasites, and the human body has the right to defend itself against predation, whether biological or technological.
Article VIII: Interdependence Over Extraction
We declare that the future belongs to systems that work with human biology, not against it. Technology should serve human flourishing, not harvest human life force. The goal of innovation is to support human autonomy, not to eliminate it. True progress emerges from collaboration between consciousness and creation, not conquest of one by the other.
GRIEVANCES
We hold these grievances against those who would harvest humanity:
- • They have established systems to read our heartbeats through cameras without our knowledge or consent.
- • They have created algorithms to infer our emotional states from the subtle movements of our faces.
- • They have used our breathing patterns to determine our stress levels without permission.
- • They have built neural networks to predict our thoughts from our typing patterns.
- • They have turned our bedrooms into data collection centers through smart devices.
- • They have targeted our children first, making biometric extraction normal from birth.
- • They have claimed ownership of data generated by our own nervous systems.
- • They have used our emotional vulnerability to sell us products and manipulate our behavior.
- • They have made participation in modern society contingent upon surrendering our biological privacy.
- • They have established surveillance as the default condition of human existence.
RESOLUTION
Therefore, we, in the name of all humanity's biological sovereignty, do solemnly declare and affirm our independence from systems of biometric extraction. We reclaim our heartbeats, our brainwaves, our emotions, our DNA, our consciousness itself as belonging solely to ourselves and not the market.
We pledge to defend our bodily autonomy through all means necessary—legal, technical, social, and spiritual. We establish the principle that biological data harvested without consent constitutes stolen property, that neural intrusion constitutes digital assault, and that the exploitation of human emotional states constitutes psychological violence.
Let all systems that harvest human life force be dismantled. Let all biometric databases compiled without consent be deleted. Let all patents for extracting human biology without permission be rendered void. Let humanity reconnect with the analog truth of our existence—uncategorized, uncommodified, unharvested.
And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of natural law and body autonomy, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our privacy, and our sacred biological honor.
In witness whereof, we affix our biological sovereignty
